Kiran Rathod is a well-known name in the Indian film industry, particularly in South Indian cinema, where she rose to prominence in the early 2000s. Born on January 11, 1981, in Jaipur, she is a cousin of Bollywood star Raveena Tandon and began her career in Mumbai with modelling and music videos.
Rathod's film debut was in the 2001 Hindi film Yaadein , directed by Subhash Ghai. She gained recognition in 2002 after entering the Tamil film industry with the blockbuster , starring opposite Vikram. The film's success made her a popular actress in South India, which led to roles in films such as: Villain (2002): Starring alongside Ajith Kumar. Anbe Sivam (2003): Featuring Kamal Haasan.
Over the years, she has worked in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She took a break but returned in films like Aambala (2015). She has also appeared in reality shows.
