Steve Jobs passed away on October 5, 2011, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. His legacy extends far beyond the products he created. He changed the way we interact with technology, revolutionized the music industry, and transformed the way we think about design and innovation.

In 1976, Jobs and his friend Steve Wozniak, an engineer at Hewlett-Packard, founded Apple Computer in Jobs' parents' garage. The company's first product, the Apple I, was a computer designed and hand-built by Wozniak. The following year, Jobs and Wozniak introduced the Apple II, one of the first highly successful mass-produced personal computers.

Throughout his life, Steve Jobs was known for his obsessive attention to detail, his passion for design, and his ability to merge technology with art. He was a master showman, and his product launches were highly anticipated events that often included dramatic presentations and surprise announcements.

In 1985, Jobs was forced out of Apple by then-CEO John Sculley, whom Jobs had hired two years earlier. This period, often referred to as the "Dark Ages," was a challenging time for Jobs. He went on to found NeXT Computer, a company that developed innovative hardware and software technologies, including the NeXTSTEP operating system and the NeXTcube computer.
