If you own a key or hardware unlock device, you own the software forever without a subscription. A Warning on Key Generators
Ensure you are running version 5.8.7 (the final stable build).
Many Pioneer DJ controllers act as a physical "key." When you plug these devices into your laptop, Rekordbox 5 automatically unlocks Performance Mode without requiring a typed-in license key. Common hardware unlock devices for Version 5 include: DDJ-400, DDJ-800, and DDJ-1000 DDJ-RB, DDJ-RR, and DDJ-RX XDJ-XZ, XDJ-RX2, and XDJ-RR
When Pioneer DJ released Rekordbox 6, they moved away from the traditional "license key" system. In the past, you would buy a DJ controller or a standalone license and enter a 20-digit string of characters to unlock Performance Mode.
Click "Activate" next to "rekordbox dj" and paste your code.
Since it is no longer being updated, there are no "surprise" bugs from new patches.
You may encounter websites claiming to offer "Rekordbox 5 License Key Generators" or "Cracks." Avoid these entirely. These files are almost always disguised malware or ransomware. Because Rekordbox requires an internet handshake with Pioneer's servers to verify a key, generated offline keys will not work and may result in your account being banned.
