Icom Ic V90 -

While not always fully submersible like marine models, these units are typically built to MIL-STD 810 specifications for shock and vibration resistance. Programming and Setup

Icom’s philosophy centers on creating "trusty backup" tools that work in demanding environments. The IC-V90 includes several features that align with this standard:

The IC-V90 is tailored for long-distance VHF communication, featuring a high-power transmitter and a wide frequency range. Icom ic v90

For optimal performance, the IC-V90 can be customized to your specific local frequencies and repeater offsets. Icom Ic V90

Supports multiple scanning options, including priority watch and memory bank scanning to monitor several channels at once. While not always fully submersible like marine models,

Built-in tone encoders and decoders allow for quiet standby and seamless access to repeaters.

Delivers a maximum of 10 Watts , significantly boosting range compared to standard 5W or 7W handheld units. For optimal performance, the IC-V90 can be customized

The is a compact, high-power mobile radio transceiver specifically designed for clear and reliable communication on the VHF band. While Icom is well-known for its "gold standard" handhelds like the IC-V80 and IC-V86 , the IC-V90 serves as a robust mobile solution for users who need a permanent or vehicle-mounted station with higher output power than a standard portable. The following guided tour videos will demonstrate many of the useful features of FluxSuite Software.

A new web-based tool for next-generation flux stations

Significant increases in data generation and computing power in recent years have greatly improved spatial and temporal flux data coverage, from a single station to continental flux networks. With more stations, larger data flows and smaller operating budgets, modern tools are needed to efficiently handle the entire process. Cross-sharing the stations with external institutions may also be employed to leverage available funding, increase scientific collaboration, and promote data analyses and publications. FluxSuite® Software, a new advanced tool combining hardware, software, and web-based services, was developed to address these specific demands. This presentation provides details and examples of the FluxSuite Software, which is currently utilized in multiple locations around the globe.
