If you've tried everything, hold the Reset button on the side of the device for 10 seconds. This reverts all settings to factory defaults so you can start the index2.asp process from scratch. Optimal Placement for Best Results

If the hostname fails, type the default IP directly: 192.168.2.2 . Edimaxext.setup Index2.asp

Open Chrome, Safari, or Firefox and type http://edimaxext.setup into the address bar. If you've tried everything, hold the Reset button

Once you’ve finished the configuration on the index2.asp page, the placement of your extender is key. The "Sweet Spot" is usually between your router and the dead zone. Most Edimax extenders have signal strength LEDs; aim for a spot where the light is green or blue, indicating a strong link to the base router. Open Chrome, Safari, or Firefox and type http://edimaxext

Note: You will likely see a "No Internet Connection" warning. This is normal; you are connected to the device, not the web yet.

Ensure your device hasn't automatically jumped back to your home Wi-Fi or switched to cellular data. You must be connected to the Edimax signal.
