The library is organized into four distinct catalog types to help users manage their design assets:

: Chief Architect periodically releases updates to core and manufacturer catalogs. You can check for these by going to Library > Update Library Catalogs or by looking for the circling arrow icon next to a folder in the browser.

Keeping your library content current is critical for accurate material lists and realistic rendering.

: Users can search for items by name, keywords, or specific attributes like manufacturer or style. You can also "include web results" to find items in the online 3D Library directly from the browser.

: If you see a blue globe icon next to an item, it means the catalog is available online but not yet installed on your computer. You can right-click these items to download the full catalog .
